Top 5 Fall Hotspots Noble’s Pond Homeowners Love

For the Noble’s Pond family, one of the best parts of fall is the weather. While the sizzling summer days are in the rearview, early fall temperatures are still mild enough that you can explore all the great outdoors has to offer. Just be sure to bring a light jacket!

Fall looks a little different in Dover this year. While many of the city’s annual festivals and events may not be taking place, there are still several outdoor adventures that can be enjoyed while social distancing. Here are five fall hotspots Noble’s Pond Homeowners are planning on frequenting this season:

  1. Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge

This first fall hotspot is located in Smyrna, DE and is a wildlife refuge that serves to protect one of the mid-Atlantic region’s largest remaining expanses of tidal salt marsh. Bombay Hook houses, and serves as a breeding ground for, migrating birds and other wildlife. It’s a birdwatcher’s haven and people travel from all over the country to visit this nationally recognized birding spot. Some of the birds at Bombay Hook can also be found in and around our community. In fact, we have several who now call Noble’s Pond home because of their love for bird watching and the accessibility within our green spaces.

Wildlife viewing, environmental education, interpretation, hunting, photography and fishing are among the activities Noble’s Pond Homeowners look forward to most when visiting Bombay Hook.

Originally opened in 1962 and upgraded throughout the years to appeal to the modern golfer, the course offers a lush backdrop; large, undulating greens; and seven sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

The course also includes a pro shop, concessions and driving range — all in modular format to keep greens fees affordable. Garrison’s Lake is the perfect place to tee off this fall.
