“Bling It On” with Girls’ Night Out to Fight MS

friends at Girls Night OUtHomeowners of Noble’s Pond and the surrounding community recently gathered for the 11th annual Girls’ Night Out to Fight MS event. The theme this year was “Bling it On” and they brought the spirit and energy to make an amazing night to raise awareness and funds to fight Multiple Sclerosis, an unpredictable disease of the nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the body.

Tickets for this sought-after event sold out in 48 hours with 165 selling on the first day of sales alone! It is one of the most popular annual events at the community and with good reason. This year, the event gave 215 homeowners, sponsors and guests in attendance a chance to gather together for a good cause, win some prizes and have some fun at the same time

Colleen and sponsors boardThe event has raised more than $190,000 over the years and raised  $20,250 this year alone! Some of the ways the funds are raised are through the ever-popular Designer Handbag Bingo, auctioning of curated gift baskets and mystery box gift cards. There were 49 gift baskets available for auction and another 18 large raffle baskets. The mystery boxes with gift cards ranged from $20 to $50 with 108 available for those seeking a nice surprise.

The event is near and dear to the heart of our Lifestyle Director, Colleen Ostafy, whose daughter was diagnosed with MS. Without the support of our 25 volunteers who gave countless hours, not only during the event but in the planning prep and set up, this event wouldn’t be possible. Our road warriors gathered gifts, sponsorships, donations for the auction, donated food, gift cards and more. We are thankful for all those who contributed their time and resources.

Girls’ Night Out ticket sales are always open to the public and most of the attendees are women. Nationally, the number of women diagnosed with MS is double than that of men, which is why the event pays special attention to the ladies while educating people about the disease.
